Cookie Policy

Version 1.0.0Effective: 2026-08-15Last updated: 2026-08-15

This Cookie Policy explains how Wellness Next Step uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.

Cookie Categories We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function. They enable authentication, session management, and core platform features. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without affecting your ability to use the Service.

  • Authentication cookies: Used to keep you logged in and maintain your session.
  • Security cookies: Used to protect against unauthorized access.

Analytics Cookies

The platform uses backend analytics integrations (Google Analytics via server-side service account, Google Search Console via OAuth) to understand aggregate website usage. These integrations operate at the platform level and may not set cookies in your browser.

VERIFICATION REQUIRED — the platform's analytics implementation is currently under review. Known issues include Meta Pixel duplication and page-view tracking configuration. Do not rely on analytics tracking being fully operational until the analytics repair phase is complete.

Marketing Cookies

We do not currently set marketing cookies in your browser. If we add marketing tracking in the future, we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism before enabling non-essential marketing cookies.

Preference Cookies

We may use local storage to remember your preferences (such as accessibility settings or progress in the Your Next 7 Days experience). These are not cookies and do not track you across sites.

Technologies Not Currently in Use

The following are not currently configured on the website's frontend:

  • Meta/Facebook Pixel (known configuration issue — not active on frontend)
  • Google Analytics browser-side tracking tag (GA4 is accessed server-side)
  • Third-party advertising networks
  • Cross-site tracking pixels

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Because only essential cookies are currently in use, a cookie consent banner is not displayed. When non-essential cookies are added, a consent mechanism will be provided with the ability to:

  • Accept all cookies
  • Reject non-essential cookies
  • Manage individual preferences

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent.

Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with third-party services for email delivery and analytics. These services may set their own cookies or use tracking technologies according to their own policies. VERIFICATION REQUIRED — the full list of third-party services and their cookie practices must be confirmed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change our use of cookies or tracking technologies. When we do, we will update the effective date and version number at the top of this page.
